By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Purpose mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

 

2. Description of Service

Purpose provides AI-powered experiences including personalized stories, voice narration, habit and roadmap guidance, photo storage and display features ("Space"), a points system with cosmetic items, and subscription-based premium features.

 

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

 

4. Accounts and Device IDs

Purpose associates your usage with a device identifier and other app-specific identifiers. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and for all activity on the App associated with your device.

 

5. User Content

You may submit text, audio, images, and other materials ("User Content") to the App.

- You retain ownership of your User Content.

- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, process, adapt, reproduce, and display your User Content solely to operate, improve, and provide the App's features (including AI generation and voice cloning) and to comply with legal obligations.

- You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit User Content and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.

 

6. Voice Features

The App may allow you to record your voice and create an AI-generated voice model ("Voice Clone"). By using voice features:

- You provide consent for the processing of your voice recordings to create and use a Voice Clone for narration and related features.

- You may delete your Voice Clone at any time from within the App (where supported) or by contacting us.

- You agree not to upload voice recordings or create Voice Clones using voices that you do not have the rights or consent to use.

 

7. Photos and Space Feature

You may upload photos to your personal Space. You are responsible for the content you upload and for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions. Do not upload prohibited content, including illegal, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringing material.

 

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law or regulation

- Infringe the rights of others, including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights

- Upload or transmit malicious code or interfere with the App's operation

- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the App's source code

- Use automated scripts to collect information or interact with the App

- Bypass or circumvent any access controls or usage limits

 

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality, is owned by Purpose and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

 

10. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Billing

Some features are offered as paid subscriptions or in-app purchases via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

- Prices and features are subject to change.

- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in your store account settings before the renewal date.

- Free trials, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.

- All billing, cancellations, and refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their policies. We do not process or store your payment card information.

 

11. Third-Party Services

We integrate third-party services to provide the App, including Firebase (storage, notifications, analytics), OpenAI (AI content generation), and ElevenLabs (voice cloning). Your use of these features may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those services.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Purpose and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

 

17. Changes to the App and Terms

We may update or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

 

18. Governing Law; Dispute Resolution

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the company is established, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Consumers in the EU may bring claims in their local courts as permitted by law.

 

19. Export and Sanctions Compliance

You may not use the App if you are located in a country that is subject to U.S. government embargo, or if you are on any U.S. government list of restricted parties. You agree to comply with all applicable export and sanctions laws.
